Purpose: This webpage provides consumers with accessible, up-to-date, and clear information on the quality, safety, and management of the potable water supplied, in accordance with Regulation 18 of Legal Notice 297 of 2023.

About Our Water Supply

SALINI RESORT produces potable water through a seawater reverse osmosis process designed to meet all legal and health safety requirements. The water is treated, monitored, and distributed in accordance with Maltese and EU legislation.

Source of Water: Seawater intake from borehole location 35.948387, 14.428139

Treatment Method: Reverse Osmosis followed by remineralisation, chlorination

Distribution Area: ALL RESORT

We regularly test the water for both microbiological and chemical parameters. These are some of the key indicators:

Monitoring and Safety Measures

We implement a Water Safety Plan (WSP) based on risk assessment and mitigation, as required by law. This includes:

  • Continuous operational monitoring pH, chlorine, conductivity
  • Scheduled laboratory testing
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Staff training and internal audits

Consumer Advice

  • Our water is safe for drinking, cooking, and hygiene purposes.
  • For individuals with sodium-restricted diets, you may wish to consult your doctor regarding sodium levels in reverse osmosis water.
  • If you notice any unusual taste, smell, or colour in the water, please contact us immediately.
